Instructions

CLIP: Wrap the GMD around a secure bony structure on the victim’s body — such as around wrists, arms, legs, or the torso under the armpits. Avoid soft tissue areas. Attach the carabiner onto the rappel ring to form a secure fixed loop.

ZIP: Pull the tail end of the strap to draw the webbing through the cam buckle, tightening the loop snugly around the victim. Ensure it's tight, but not cutting off circulation.

GO: Use the webbing as a handle to drag or lift the victim over objects, stairs, up to windowsills, to an area of safety. Appropriate victim and rescuer’s body position should reflect the environment they are operating in, and determined by the trained rescuer.

Testing & Performance

Fixed Loop Configuration (intended configuration): Pulled to failure using 3 sigma process. Result: 1310 lbs MBS.

Note: Loop configuration simulates actual use wrapped around a victim. Do not exceed these ratings.
